Celtic chase Vardy’s signature as Napoli loom – Football

A source close to the 38-year-old claimed Vardy had his “heart set” on joining Celtic at Parkhead, igniting excitement across the fanbase. The prospect of the former England international donning the green and white has sparked dreams of a blockbuster transfer.

However, the optimism was tempered by fresh reports from Italy, as Serie A champions Napoli have added Vardy to their list of attacking targets. 

The Italian giants are scrambling for a striker after Romelu Lukaku was ruled out for three months due to injury. Napoli’s interest poses a significant hurdle, as their financial power far surpasses Celtic’s, making it a tough battle for the Scottish champions.
